FAQ'S FOR BROW LAMINATION
HOW DOES BROW LAMINATION WORK?
Brow lamination is a perming method that instead of curling hair, it straightens hairs to give them a more uniformed look. Hairs can be re-aligned, gaps filled and you can create fuller, fluffier brows which is the biggest trend at the moment.
DOES LAMINATION DAMAGE BROW HAIRS?
HOW LONG DOES LAMINATION LAST?
Brow Lamination lasts up to 8 weeks, if the correct aftercare is followed.
After this time, the perm will wear off and the structure of your brows will return to normal. We would only recommend laminating your brows every 6-8 weeks, otherwise it can damage the condition of your brow hairs.
WHAT TYPE OF PRODUCTS ARE USED?
Lamination is a chemical process, so just like perming and colouring the hair on your head frequently, it can eventually lead to dryness and brittle hairs. However, the products we use contain a plant-based Keratin Shield system which coats each shaft of hair and protects it from damage during the perming process. It also contains a plant-based bond re-building system, similar to the Olaplex hair system which strengthens the hairs and keeps them healthy. The final stage of the treatment, a waterproof moisturising serum is applied to the brows to protect and moisturise the skin, leaving your hairs soft and shiny. It is advised to apply a brow serum or New Brows 'Brow Food' oil daily to keep your brows in great condition.
It is equally important to have lamination done by trained experts like ourselves to avoid over-processing and damaging your brows.
WHAT IS THE AFTER CARE ADVICE?
We advise to keep brows dry for 24 hours after treatment to allow the Keratin serum to work sufficiently.
For 48 hours after treatment we advise to keep your brows brushed up so re-set them in place after a shower.
Apply a good brow serum or oil everyday to keep the hairs nourished.
Avoid the following for 48 hours:
Hot steamy baths/showers, steam rooms, saunas, jacuzzi's, swimming pools, facial peels, brow make-up.
UV-rays and sun will cause tint to fade faster so it's best to wear sunscreen or large framed sunglasses

WILL MY BROWS BE SET IN PLACE FOR WEEKS?
Our products are of high quality and manufactured in the UK.
They are Vegan/plant based, No GMO's, Silicone free, Ammonia free and Cruelty free.
Our products have the following benefits:
Keratin Shield System - protects hairs during the perming process and re-builds any damaged keratin.
Intensive Skin Protection - seals in moisture to leave skin smooth and soft.
Bond Rebuilding System - inspired by the Olaplex hair system it protects and strengthens brow hairs.
Low Odour - most perms smell nasty, but not this one!

WILL I NEED A PATCH TEST?
Yes, you will if it's your first treatment with us. It's a simple test of applying 2 dots of creme to your inner arms, which only needs to be left on for 15mins. if having tinting done, a test will need to be done for the tint products too at the same time. The test will need to be done 24hrs before treatment or if 6 months has elapsed between treatments.
No your brows can be styled however you wish after treatment. We advise to keep your brows brushed up for 48 hours to set them in place, but after that you can SET WHEN WET. Just apply a small amount of serum or oil and brush them through the hairs and style however suits you. Some like to have the brushed up trendier look which creates volume, but if that's not your style, simply brush them more to the side. Your hairs will stay straightened for up to 8 weeks.
